Authentic Native American Indian Dreamcatchers For Christmas

Another great gift idea (that's not too expensive) for Christmas would be a Native American Indian dreamcatcher. Of course, you would want to give only authentic ones as opposed to mass produced souvenir versions. The partners that we work with carry only authentic Native American Indian Dreamcatchers so take a look

Motivational Quotes From Native Art Gallery Owner

I realize that life out there can be challenging at times. We often read about some good philosophy from the native cultures which are like motivational quotes handed down from generation to generation. Although I'm not native myself, I've compiled some text from my upcoming book called The Life Champion In You which can serve as some good motivational quotes to keep you motivated in your day to day life. See World Champion Motivational Quotes.

Inuit Soapstone Polar Bear Sculpture Shipped To Australia

We shipped an Inuit soapstone polar bear sculpture to Australia this week as requested by a customer here in Canada who wanted to have a special gift sent to his sister living down there. We have shipped successfully before to Australia so shipping internationally to overseas destinations is not a problem for us here at Free Spirit Gallery. We even offer two shipping options for international destinations. One usually takes 4 to 8 business days and the other is a less expensive option but takes 4 to 8 weeks. So we let our customers for overseas shipping decide which one route they would rather take. In either case, it is recommended that orders that involve international shipping be placed well ahead of time to account for the shipping time required for all Inuit soapstone sculptures.

Goal Setting For Your Inuit Art Collection

To build a great Inuit art collection, you should actually set some specific goals. Do you want to get a bigger dancing bear? Or maybe a nice Inuit hunting scene? To do effective goal setting, you need to be in the right environment. This is an important task where you want to plan your goals carefully so you don't want to do this in a place where you can't focus. You want to come up with the right goals and plans to achieve these goals. Goal setting is important for success in any field including building a nice Inuit art collection. To help you, here's a great article on being in the right Environment For Goal Setting.

Time Management If Shopping For Art As Gifts This Holiday Season

If you are planning to shop for art, either Inuit art or Native American art as gifts this holiday season, please do so well ahead of time if shopping online. Unlike shopping at street retail galleries where you usually have to pay much higher prices, online shopping will often result with lower prices but you do have to account for time for shipping.

As part of time management in your shopping for gifts, I would recommend that you start shopping now. Delivery services cannot guarantee that you or your gift recipient gets the art in time for the holidays if you leave things until say mid December. For overseas shipping, even early December might be a tight squeeze. So definitely start now to avoid disappointment.

Speaking of time management, since we can all use a little bit of help in getting more time in our day to day lives, here's a good article on time management for your interest.

New Year's Resolutions For Native American Art?

Do you have any New Year's resolutions in regards to Native American art? If so, I'm sure that you are aware that many people just can't seem to keep their New Year's resolutions, usually failing them within the first few months of the new year. To get the take on how one motivational speaker deals with such issues, see the article on New Year's Resolutions which is an interesting read.

Large Inuit Rock Sculpture On Video

The first of the video clips showing pieces of Inuit Art is now up at the gallery website. It is an amazing piece that has various scenes of an Arctic hunt. This is an Inuit art sculpture that I wished I had in my living room for sure. See the video clip of this sculpture at Large Inuit Rock Scene.

Hope To Hear From Paul Joseph Today

I hope to hear from Paul Joseph today that he is ready to ship us his Northwest Indian art carvings. He is about two weeks late for this. Once he calls, it will take about four business days for his carvings to get here and then we will scramble to get photos and descriptions of them up on the gallery website which will take about a day if we work like crazy. So stay tuned.

We project that the next issue of our Native Art Gallery Newsletter will be the week of November 17, probably mid to late that week. Again, we are trying to time that with the arrival of new Paul Joseph carvings. More than likely, we will not post as frequent to our blog next week since we will be off site.

Paul Joseph Canadian Indian Art Carvings Delayed

We were hoping to get in some new Canadian Indian art carvings by Paul Joseph later this week but looks like they will be delayed until about the third week of this month. We are also delaying the monthly Indian art newsletter until these carvings arrive as well so we can announce them on this month's issue.

If We Do A Printed Inuit Art Book

Continuing with what I mentioned yesterday about the possibility of a printed Inuit art book, if we do one, we will have to reshoot all the photos of the various art pieces. The ones on the free ebooks have low resolution for website speed and we no longer have any high resolution versions. Many of the Inuit art and Native American art carvings that were featured in the two ebooks have also been sold already so we can't get photos of them. We will have to use other pieces as the models.

The other thing if we go ahead with such a project in the future is that I will probably not take most of the photos myself. I had problems with photographing many of the Inuit art pieces with the reflection or glare of light from flashes. I would probably opt to use a professional photographer who knows how to deal with such issues.

Should We Do A Printed Book On Native Art?

As many of you know, we have our two ebooks available for free as downloads since they are great resources for both Inuit art and Northwest Indian art. I'm currently working on a new book which has nothing to do with art. It's on motivation and success. It will be filled with principles of achieving goals and lots of inspirational quotes.

However, as I'm working on this new book, I sometimes have thoughts whether we should make our native art ebooks available as printed versions. In this case, we would combine the two into a decent size Canadian native art book with both Inuit art and Northwest Indian art. But if we do a printed version, we would have to reshoot all the photos since the ones shot for the ebook were low resolution because we wanted them to load up quickly on computers. We don't have high resolution versions of these images which would be required for a printed book.

If we wanted to do a printed book, it would be a matter of redoing all the photos since the text is already written. In case you have been exposed to our free ebooks, see the links on them at the links section of this blog at the right side.
