As I'm researching the various Canadian university websites since I'm hoping to tour them next fall/winter with my diversity talk, I've noticed that quite a few have Aboriginal Student Centres. This is a good sign since it shows that more and more of our Canadian aboriginal communities are starting to graduate native high school students. More of these native students are starting to make it onto university campuses which in turn will set them as role models back in their communities. This is points to the need for more education for all on diversity on university campuses which is why I put my program together.
